I might be heading to Brisbane and am looking at possible options for that Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wed.
I went diving twice in Cairns on Reef Encounter and loved it. I would do it again, but I was told by basically everyone I asked that don't go as there are cyclones, bad weather, jellyfish, etc.
So where could I dive in Brisbane? Are there any good (recommended) day trips? I saw a few on Sat and sun, but is there anything during the week?
Or I could head up the coast a bit, but is there a bus service of some sorts? I'll have 2 bags (regular and diving) and I don't think I'll do well renting a car and driving on the left...

Thanks.

I highly recommend getting in touch with Devocean Dive at South Port. They are fantastic and will point you in the right direction as to whats available and try to make sure you get some amazing dives.

Unfortunately mid week dives on a charter are pretty rare.

The two major areas for diving in Brissy are around Stradbroke and Moreton Islands. Both are nice, but Moreton has more sites and options.

The best boat IMO for diving around Moreton Island is Ocean Cat. A few dive stores in the area make use of it. Just google: Ocean Cat, Brisbane.

a few years ago hubby did a weekend liveaboard on the Big Cat Reality and was very happy with the operation and diving

a weekend trip goes for about $400aussie, all meals, air fills and dived Morton Bay area

Moreton Bay (Brisbane) Scuba Diving aboard Big Cat Reality - The Brisbane Liveaboard

otherwise i suggest a road trip south to dive HMAS Brisbane or you catch the ferry from Brisbane to North Stradbroke and dive with the local operator

cheers
