I did not know if anyone has used these, but SoLux makes 4700K color temperature bulb in 12 volt/50 watt in a 10, 17, 24, and 36 degrees. They also make a 5000K color temperature bulb with the same specs at 36 degrees. Anyone ever tried these? I might pick up one of them and see how they work. HIDs put out at about 6000K so these might be the runner up! eyebrow

I thought the SoLux bulbs were the highest temperature halogen bulbs but there are ones even higher.....Ushio makes a 6500 degree kelvin 50 watt mr16 bulb. I will let you know how they preform once they arrive.
