Good morning, I have been leaning toward getting a Zeagle BCD. I have read a lot of post on this board and other places. There seems to be a lot of good products out there, but I keeping leaning to Zeagle. So my question is to the members here. Which do you like better, the Brigade or the Ranger? I am not to big 5'8" 171 lbs this morning so I don’t meet as much lift as some but have all ways liked the idea ob having the biggest, mosttest, etc. Does the Brigade have enough lift?

Thanks
Dave

35 lbs of lift (Brigade) should be more than ample for single tank diving.

Keep in mind that the ranger bladder is more resilient and repairable than the brigade bladder.

IMO.......I would go ahead and get the ranger..I use the ranger as a back-up to my Dive Rite.

I would consider the Zeagle Stiletto. It has less lift than the ranger, but the bladder is made from heavier material than the Brigade. Also, the trim weight pockets are included in the price. In my experience, it is a very good bc.

How much will you wear in the way of weights?

I love my Brigade, unless your diving some heavy ass steel tanks or double steels all the time it is plenty of lift. For the price, you cant beat it.

I like the talk about the bladders of the two BCD's. I did not know the Brigade had a thinner bladder, I am not sure I like the sound of that. I also will read more about the Stiletto. Thanks so much for all the stuff to thank about. I start classes on the first Tuesday of March and I am very excited.

I recently bought a ranger based on the fact that my son's Zeagle is ten years old and still going strong. Its certainly heavy duty as expected and well made. I was surprised to find that it is made in China??. Likes - plenty of suspension points, a good and adjustable fit, comfortable, reasonable storage space especially if you dont fill the weight pockets with lead and use a w/belt instead. Dislikes - its heavy so I retain my old poseidon for o/s trips and I dont like integrated weights though I do weight the rear pockets to balance the forward thrust of the wing.
