Not much of a town in Cozumel? Are you kidding?

Don't take offense, OK? I love Cozumel, and San Miguel, as well. But to someone who goes there looking for a town in the model of what one would find in the US, there's not really much of one. There's no central business district per se, and there aren't many buildings there (other than hotels) over two or maybe three stories tall. There's what supports the tourist trade and the living necessities of the folks that live there, and that's about it. It covers a fair amount of ground, but it ain't Gotham City. ;^)

Which is TOTALLY fine with me, I hasten to add. I run away to Cozumel for at least a couple of weeks every year; my first trip there was in 1978.

Yes, it's VERY nice. In fact, I absolutely LOVE the place! Nice or not nice is not at all what I meant; it's just not very cosmopolitan. There's still no brewery there, either! ;^)

I certainly don't take offense, it's just that San Miguel is a booming Metropolis, in my experience.
