Brass and Glass SPG

I'm looking for a Brass and Glass SPG. I have seen lots of different types OMS Oxycheq, Dive Rite, XS Scuba etc.

Some mention different types of button or spools -what's the difference?

Heard people mention Soggy Divers here but their webpage only shows a 24" hose? Are they still around?

Price isn't exactly my most important decider, I'd like a good quality gauge for the best $$. Any ideas where to look for deals or if there are any "off" brands that are a great value?

A LOT of the brass and glass SPGs you'll find are made by the same manufacturer in Italy. The only difference will be the branded faceplate on the front, and the finish of the metal on the back (but functionally, they're identical). I think XS Scuba, Highland, Halcyon, etc. all fall into this category.

If you've decided on a 2" brass and glass, one thing I'd recommend is getting one without a "red zone" - which makes the needle hard to see once it falls into this area.

I agree with Gombessa on the red zone deal. No thanks! We have four different brands of gauges and they all are about the same. See the link below for one of them, although Phil has sold me a Highland Millworks also. Don't forget the 24" hose and a stainless bolt snap...unless it is for a stage bottle.

Thanks for the info. I was about to order the OMS with the red zone, but went with the HOG SPG instead.
