Found this MK20 - G250 in the bay for servicing and selling (not a big G250 fan, like chrome more).
When it arrived and I checked it, it seemed it had never touched water. IP 137psi stable at full and 140psi at 600psi, CE 1,0inch/h2o.
What irritates me is the fact that it has no G250 Decal, just the R190 Decal.
How comes that?
Does anybody of you guys know if SP has ever sold the G250 without G250 Decal (maybe in Europe)?
According to the hoses it should be from'98.......

I don’t think the late 90’s G250 ever had a “G250” decal. It would make the label on the bottom of the faceplate redundant. It was the one like you found or the one that the G250 Crystal and the HP version had (pictured below). Yours looks like a ‘97-‘99 vintage just before the HP came out (I think).

Great find btw, especially since the MK20 is the SPEC version, it’s DIN, and it’s not a G250HP.

Thanks!
Right, I have a Christal with that Decal, but I didn't know that they might have offered the G250 with a Decal I know mainly from the R190s (I think I have a M5 too with that type of Decal).....
I'll check catalogs........

It’s one of the last ones before the G-250 HP

Same case as the HP, old air barrel. Best of both worlds.

it’s a solid reg.

Rusty, since I'm not a G250 Specialist, one question.
What do you mean with best of both worlds?
Which advantage would the HP Case and the air barrel ( if it is different from former models) have against other G250 Models in your eyes?

The HP-cases were atleast correctly moulded. The old g250 had alot of overmoulded cases making a horrible fit when screwing on the case, or them even breaking when falling.

The old barrel is king without a doubt.

I too was thinking it was at or just before the HP introduction. It was the "carbon fiber" look on the face that made me think that.

IIRC, there was a kit to convert the G250 to the G250HP, so there was a parts compatibility then. A good model!

Nice find.

If you want, I have a nice S-Wing converted Balanced Adjustable I’ll trade you for it. It’s in really nice shape. Late model 156

I even have a rare satin one in nice shape. I will send pic and give you the choice of which one you prefer, the shiny or the satin. Also a 156.

You get the best of the bling and I get the best G-250.

I would consider that if it was really about a 156 in nice condition.
I have about ten BAs and Mark Xs (150s), but unfortunately I failed up to now to find a 156 for me.
Just today arrived another satin BA, which I thought from the photos it could be a 156, but it wasn't.
Yes, I'd like to see your photos for checking ( please view also from the top)........
