BP/Wing + Air2 ?

Yep on my recreational BP&W kit I use a Zeagle Otco+
Works fine for me 200 dives on this configuration with a couple of OOA's on charters with no problems.
Note I do use a long hose Hog rig on my Deep set-up

OK, since this question is not in the DIR forum, the answer is yes. A long time ago, I had an Air2 on my IH with my singles wing. As I moved more towards DIR, I did away with it in preference of the the DIR hose and regulator configuration. Will you die doing it, no. Will you get hurt doing it, no. Is it the best way to do it, no.

I'm thinking of installing an Air2 on my DiveRite Wing to eliminate a hose, as I have a drysuit hose in addition to the other standard ones. I will be diving cold water off a boat, but only doing recreational dives--no tech diving. Do people use Air2s with wings? Are there any caveats or concerns to consider? There is the obvious one of making sure the corrugated hose can be wrapped to reach my mouth even after securing it with a bungee--but I will run only the inflator hose through the bungee, giving the corrugated hose more freedom of movement.

Have you considered buying a 'Y' adapter to screw into your first stage and give you an extra LP port on the right side? The first first stage I owned (does that sound right?) was an old US Divers and didn't have enough LP ports for me to dive dry, so I required one at the time. An added point of failure if you're being picky, but it did what I needed it to do.

I got this comfig and works great, I only do recreational diving and no OH enviroments with this setup.

IMO, it won't kill you, just be aware of its limitations, be absolutely sure you practice with it often, and have your primary second stage on a long hose.

I'll second this statement for sure.

If you are planning to use an Air 2, part of the plan needs to be to start a direct ascent as soon as you have to start using it. The whole concept is really not ammenable to prolonged use or long swims under water. If you are in a situation where you cannot make a direct ascent and have to return to an ascent line, exit a wreck, etc, then you are in a situation where you should not really be using an Air 2. In those tpyes of situations a long hose primary and standard backup reg make a lot more sense.

You nailed it DA can't be said better, bottom line is that depends on your dive style, you must config for that particular dive.

Many divers in this forum report having diferent rigs for diferent types of diving.
