In case of galvanic corrosion in the Al-Fe and Al-Ti pairs, it is the aluminum that gets corroded, not the steel or titanium.

But the OP is trying to save his Al plate, not the hardware.

Ahhhhhh ok. How was it ordering from Russia? Any complications or was communication back and forth easy enough?

No issues whatsoever. Very fast communication and service. Ordered a titanium backplate, sta, cam bands and harness hardware for a travel rig. Not cheap but very nice equipment.

Exactly. This is why I pointed to the fact that using Ti bolts instead of SS won't save his Al plate.
