The manual for the case says it needs all four weights from their weight set to be neutral. Is this other people's experience too?

I want my rig to be just slight positive in saltwater and this setup seems heavier (but slightly larger) than my A620+Canon housing which took two weights to be negative.

I still have two of the old weights lying around and don't want to buy more if I don't have to.

I'll be using the same set-up with all four weights in two weeks. I'll let you know if I had any issues with it, and how over/under weighted I thought it was.

14 days and counting until my G10 (housing) gets wet! :D

I used to have the G9 with the Canon DC-21 housing, wich is probably very similar in weight.
It was actually very very light and would need lot of additional weight to remain neutral.

Just try it in a pail of water. You need to weigh it so that it barely floats. The minor difference between fresh water & salt water isn't an issue. I'll be writing a how to for a very simple & cheap weight for these tomorrow.

I just got back from Palm Beach. I used all four weights on the Canon housing with the G10. It was neutral.

BTW, the camera and housing were great. I plan to post a few pics in about a week or so.

Instead of store-bought weights, I picked up a bolt and a handful of washers for my girlfriend's g-9 housing. The bolt fits into the tripod female screw at the bottom of the housing. She can adjust the weight by adding or taking away washers. She says its perfect.
