Anyone have a thought about taking grade E air/trimix through a hyperfilter in order to use it with an O2 booster.
Would this be an acceptable practice, would the hyperfilter clean the gas up enough so not to need two separate boosters?

I boost trimix blended with OCA and UHP He (the lowest local grade that has guaranteed specifications that meet the OC standard) routinely. I believe Haskel recommends against this, but (a) I don't understand why and (b) I am not buying a second booster. There is probably some additional risk I assume by doing so. I'd be happy to learn what that might be (see (a)).

Not contributing just lamenting, pardon...

I take an unreasonably & not so serious stab at it. There very well may be a real risk. But even if there is not, there could be this:
Because if they don't sell the second booster they don't generate the funds potentially needed to guard against potential lawsuits in case something were to go quite sour?

(Edit: Meant as a (looped) pun about the looped question reasoning)

I did for years. Made a ton of Trimix and boosted oxygen, UHP, and OCA with the same booster.

as it turns out a ton is only about 300 tanks worth. I'm sure you made more than that by a large measure Frank.

Those damned 444 cft cylinders weigh 210 lbs. you are right.
