Hi,

I consider spending at least one week in a resort in Kao Lak to do some diving. They sell an 8 days package that includes 8 trips to the Similan, 4 trips to local dives and 4 trips to Boonsun. My question : is it worth the 4 trips to Boonsun or should I take the 6 days package that includes only 2 trips to Boonsun ? Is the wreck interesting ? By the way, I am Advanced with 45 dives logged.

Don’t want to go on a liveaboard as I prefer to stay in a resort.

Thanks for your advice !

The Boon Sun is one of my favourite dives in Thailand - the amount of marine life is simply stunning, I don't know of another site in thailand with such diversity and numbers for such a small site. BUT visibility is usually atrocious!!

If you were an avid macro photgrapher with a macro capable camera then 4 dives on the boon sun (which is very close to the mainland, hence the vis problem) would be OK but otherwise I would say two dives is enough and head out to the Sims.

Olivia,

Could you let me know the name of the resort and how much they are charging for the diving.

It would be nice to dive the Boonsung over the new year.

Thanks
