New
Looking to head to Bonaire in February with my BF, but he doesn't dive (I know, it's dreadful). Any suggestions on how to find a buddy while there?

There's alwasys someone looking for a buddy at any of the big resorts. Some of them even have sign-up sheets. Just about everybody at any of the dive resort bars and most of the restaurants are divers. At our condo, out of 22 units there was only one non-diving couple - I could tell by the tanks in everybody else's trucks..
I was asked twice if I needed a buddy standing on the dock 5 minutes at the Plaza waiting for my buddy to analyze his tank.
So I don't think it'll be a problem. The whole island revolves around diving.

Any hope of replacing or certifying him before you go? Hang out here much, and I am sure finding a replacement won't be that hard. In fact, if you take me with ya, Iwill be your boyfriend. I gotta be upfront though, I am married- but hey, lets weigh the options:1) current non diving b/f
2)Cool DM boyfriend who happends to be married
I think we all know what the lesser of the two evils are in that scenario!
I'll be in Bonaire feb 23 thru march 1st. Staying at Divi Flamingo. Wife does not dive, but she does go out on the boats. We're going with a shop but I don't have a designated dive buddy. Doing 6 two tank boat dives and some shore from their dock. Not interested in driving around.
