Does anyone know if there are any problems when using Bonine by type one diabetics when diving?

I am type 1 diabetic and have had no trouble using it - I also use the patch - it works well for me - and no side effects.

Hi ReefMongoose,

Given well-controlled and uncomplicated diabetes, an otherwise healthy diver should be able to use Bonine (meclizine) as directed without worry. As with any medication, meclizine should be given an adequate topside trial before diving to assess for possible adverse reaction. Be sure to stay well hydrated.

If you are interested in pursuing the topic, you should feel free to inquire of your treating physician.
