I know that bonaire is famous for its wind, hence the kiting and windsurfing, and i've found some helpful wind-measuring weather websites, but what is normal for this time of year, July/August?

If the wind is from the east, does it effect more than the extreme north or south sites much?

We were in Curacao last week with strong winds and strong currents. The guides told us it was not normal for this time of year. Guess it was just our good luck!

Ideally, the wind is from the east as most of the shore diving is on the west side. The stronger it is the more it does affect the ends of the island. I can't attest to the current conditions on the island but I prefer it windy to help cool off topside and to keep the skeeters at bay. Usually, the wind is weaker in September/October.
