Bonaire stay for 4-6 weeks...?

Any suggestions on thinking outside the box of a stay on Bonaire for 4-6 weeks? Would be wfh a few days a week and diving the rest. I'm not sure the typical cost per a weekly visit x6 is worthwhile. But maybe a sublet or something would make sense. TIA

Check some of the short term rentals available through local real estate companies, Sun Belt Bonaire Etc. Also look at VRBO/air b&b. Look for apartments in town

How many people, budget etc.?

Try Long term rentals - Sunwise Bonaire . I’m not sure if they have anything for that short of a stay. But worth trying. Also, I think that they, as well as Home | Sand Dollar Bonaire have discounts on extended stays, but that means trusting my memory which comes with a “Dod at your own risk” statement.

Truck rental will eat your lunch.
How far out? Finding something open during high season for that period may be challenging if you are looking for this high seasion.
There are monthly rentals but still not cheap. Long term rental is 6mo or 1yr. I have done 4 weeks but booked a year out. Some VRBO airbnb offer a slight discount for month stay. Sunwise had some monthly when i checked.

Reach out to local B&Bs with your dates and work on a cash deal. I highly recommend Casa Mantana (starlink) on Kaya Finlandia which is walking distance to town and down the road from all the big markets. Hamlet Oasis would also offer reasonable studios with proximity to Cliff dive site, and a good Chinese market across the road, but possibly horrible wifi depending on unit. Monthly data sim should be super cheap, bring a cheap smartphone if needed.

A&b car for truck and unlimited tanks, as mentioned previously a truck is going to ruin your budget.

If you're accustommed to defensive cycling, that would significantly help your budget over 6 wks. You can bike for groceries (big backpack) and meet your dive buddy at the dive locker/air pick-up. If you're not used to biking, this might be intimidating (and kinda dangerous).
