Bonaire or Cozumel?

Sillygrendel and I are planning a trip to one of these places over the New Year's holiday. Which one would you recommend for the Dec/Jan timeframe?

Also, and this is Sillygrendel's question NOT MINE , are there any women on Bonaire? We know Coz has women, but we were wondering about Bonaire...what else are two single guys going to do on SI other than chase local women (and vacationing women too, I guess)...

O ring... I pick Bonaire for you. If you can fly on Air Jamaica, and not take the American flights, it will give you more time for diving, and chasing women. ( I mean meeting women)
As for women vacationing on Bonaire .. several of them are from Europe, so they like to sun bath topless. Yes, I have seen this on Bonaire. Of course I can't guarantee they will be the least bit interested in you two ..but hey the diving is excellent.

PS. There are two casinos on Bonaire, so there is a night life. And there are restaurants and bars.

Anybody heard anything about Happy Holiday Homes or Dive Inn Bonaire? Which would you stay at?

the only ones I've seen topless tended to be of the "older" variety.

The casino at the Divi tends to have locals and not much nightlife action. Never been to the casino at the Plaza.


Oring... stay someplace along the water. Much easier to grab tanks and go... I don't know where either of the places you named are....



There are a few bars for some nightlife.... but if that is a main concern, not sure if there will be enough "action" for you.

And what is an 'older' woman? I guess you must mean me. I'm 43. But I did see women younger then me. Although, I don't think we want to elaborate on this part of your trip.
If you are looking for single women that party, Bonaire probably isn't the place as much as, as Cancun, or Jamaica, or a cruise would be.
