My understanding of the liveaboard experience is that it is all diving, ALL day and night and no shore intervals.Very intense. Is this so, experts?
A liveaboard is excatly the opposite of intense. Most liveaboards are set up so that you do either four or five dives a day. You do not have to do any dives. It's totally up to you what schedule you choose to dive. Some locations are intense locations because the diving is advanced!!!
Some provide land excursions during the week - you need to read the itentaries "sp" and some do not. The PH boat in Belize did not. Some have kayaks and you can paddle over to an island and chill for a few hours if you want. See the Aquacat in the Bahamas.
The liveaboard experience is what you choose it to be. BUT IT IS A DIVE VACATION - not a vacation with some diving.
