My wife and I are stopping on Bonaire next week and I need some recommendations on the best places to rent a truck as well as tanks that is close to where the cruise ship docks. Also, a few "Must Dives" would be good, as we are only there for 8 hours.

Thanks!

Walk North on the Ocean front street and you will run right into a dive shop that can arrange everything for you! You could do Something Special right at the end of the street! Or maybe a couple boat dives?

Check out Wannadive, it's a dive shop on the island.
Bart and the gang could probably make it all happen for you.
Great bunch of people to dive with.
They have a dive shop near the dock, in the center of town.
Windsock is a good place to go and is near the dock also
Also, while checking out Wannadive, look at the different areas that the diveshop has to offer.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy the island and the people there as much I did while I was there.
Tim

Connect with one of the local dive shops within walking or a quick cab ride from the cruise dock. Depending on what time you are arriving/leaving you can probably get two boat dives and a shore dive - or maybe even two - in while you're there.

Don't bother renting a truck.

I would recommend checking with WannaDive. They have a site right next to City Cafe, right in town and near the pier. I don't think they routinely rent trucks, but maybe with some prior communication, they could assist you with that too. I know most responses addressed boat dives, but I think if you can arrange to get a truck, you can do several shore dive. I've spent 12 weeks on Bonaire over the last 3 years, and have yet to find the need to hire a boat dive. This island is a Shore Diver's paradise.

Even though I've dove several places from a Cruise ship, never Bonaire. I've always flown there, and only know and have experience with the car rental agencies at the airport.
