I am unaware of any free sites on Bonaire. Some of the larger hotels on Curacao may but I don't know of any for sure.

I looked for this (wireless, not necessarily free) when I was in Bonaire and didn't find a lot of options. Chat n' Browse supposedly has drive-up wireless access in their parking lot (for a fee, I'm sure), but I didn't try it.

I can't speak for curacao other than the Marriott, which did not have wireless access.

The "Habitat" in Curacao has wireless.........

Does anybody know of any place that has FREE wireless internet access in Bonaire and/or Curacao?

When did that happen?

I was there in July, and the only way to get on the Internet was to use the computer in the dive shop--and it was dial up.

http://www.habitatcuracaoresort.com, then mouse over "Extra Amenities", a drop down list will appear and it says "wireless internet". I booked a trip for this January, they confirmed it. I guess ill find out for sure - then

When I was there, they told me they were hoping to have it some day, but until then, there was nothing available for many, many miles. I used the computer in the dive shop to get through my emails one day. As I said, it was a dial up connection.

Last year in another resort on another island, I arrived and asked about the Internet access that was advertised on their web site. They told me that they were planning to have that some day, but it was not there yet. I suggested that they might want to wait until they had it before advertising that they had it. They told me that was probably a good idea, but I checked a few weeks later and it was still on their web site.

If you are counting on this, I hope they really do have it for you.

Well then........I guess I will have to call and specifically ask if they have it and if its operational.

Thanks for the heads up!

Zebra,

I think Capt'n Dons has it, but don't know if he charges (I don't think so) and Chat n' browse has 24 hour access at an extremely nominal price. GRI will have it effective 15 October.

In Curacao, the Tropen lounge has free wireless Internet access. The food is pretty good, too.
