does anyone know a dive op that will do a boat of four? We did Aldora last time but they would usually tag on a pair or so.

Four shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be four. Five shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count three, excepting that thou then proceedeth to four. Six is right out.

I think it's going to depend on time of year unless you pay for the extra seats usually assigned to other divers.

I don't know of any dive op who would limit the boat to four when there are others who want to go. Maybe they would if you pay for all the unfilled slots, but that would be expensive. In general there are fewer divers who want to go out in the afternoon than in the morning, so you might more easily get a boat to yourselves on an afternoon dive, but I doubt any op would turn divers away to suit you if you didn't pay for the privilege. I wouldn't.

Agree with ggunn. We always dive in the afternoon, and have been a group of 4, (before the boys went off to college), and are now a group of 2. We have, over the years, had the boat to ourselves about half the time.

Expecting the op to send out another boat for two more, or deny them diving because you want a private boat??? That's just plain crackers.

A boat for four and only four is normally refered to as a 'Charter'. A charter normally runs a little more than the price 4x of a normal dive but you are paying for exclusivity. The last week of February is Carnival and normally a pretty busy time of the year.

In fact you'll want to pre book for that week. Most hotels & dive boats will be filled.

Carnival? Looks like I have some googling to do.

Didn't know end of February was a busy season. Tickets were pretty cheap.
