Hi everyone!

I have been wanting to do a liveaboard in the Red Sea for quite some time now, and naturally came upon the highly recommended company blueotwo for these kind of trips.

However, while I was still getting prices in euros for all trips no less than 5 days ago, I now only see prices in US dollars, which is now much higher!

For instance, the Deep South borderlands trip from 30/08-06/09 was 900 euro a week ago, and is now over 1700 dollars, without flights! I could go on with other examples...

has it got anything to do with the recent political developments in Egypt, or does anybody else have an explanation? Thanks!

Blueotwo runs great trips and they would be my first choice in the Red Sea. I'm on their email list and always at least glance at their prices as have been considering going back...$1700 USD is more like regular full pricing, the 900 euros you mentioned is more like what they'll discount to on a last minute departure. While I'm not sure why they raised it from a discounted price to a regular price, that $1700 doesnt reflect a raise in REGULAR pricing..if that makes any sense. If you were to look at their website right now, they are quite a few July/August departures discounted down into the 900-1000 euros range..maybe another departure would work. You won't go wrong booking them.
