Blue Lagoon resort and dive-Truk Lagoon

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody would have any information on Blue Lagoon Resort and Dive in Truk with regards to
tanks they carry, amount they will allow you to take per dive and weather they supply nitrox/trimix?

Blue Lagoon can mix nitrox for you (up to 100%), but when I was last there (January 2011) they did not offer trimix. So far as I know, only Truk Stop offers trimix.

I don't think they impose any limits on the number of tanks you can carry. But I wouldn't want to gear up in their skiffs carrying more than two stage bottles max, and I'd try hard to keep it to one.

I was there in April and they did offer me trimix. Whatever mix i needed. Get ready for the prices, though.

Unless they happen to have some leftover helium from a previous tech/rebreather special charter, the only way to assure you'll have trimix to blend is if you reserve an advance supply of helium at least four months in advance at Blue Lagoon Dive-Ops.

Truk Stop Hotel Dive-Ops is the only other mixed-gas shop, but they usually do have helium readily available to blend onsite and have better doubles and deco stage tank support. . .
