My diving buddies were telling me about this story.

Imagine seeing this right after hearing that story!!!

It made me breath a little heavy.
Pic of the island.

I think its just a hunk of lead but looks like treasuse :)
I think there is a cross and a large c stamped on it.
Anyone know what it might be?
There are no holes and
i think it is all there ie never broken.

I know the feeling you must have had.

A week ago, as Ophelia was churning up the Eastern coast of central Florida, I was metal detecting the beach in the Sebastian area, where there are KNOWN treasure ships from 1715.

I got a hit and started digging, and about 8 inches under the beach sand I saw this staring at me.

My heart stopped... 1/2 again the size of a quarter. Not big enough to be a silver dollar, clearly has a "100" visible at the bottom of the freshly dug hole.

I'VE FOUND SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

Picked it up, rubbed it a bit more, and turned it over to find it is a dollar token from a carwash 50 miles away, that has been out of business for 5 years.

But oh those first 30 seconds were so sweet...

Hehe
I wonder how that got there?
You think they threw it there after finding out it closed :)
