Anybody been to Bikini and who did you go with.

looking for suggestions for a technical diving trip to the area

you know who I went with - Simon from PSD in Guam.

Unless you get a trip full of cave certified divers you will end up doing the standard trip - but hey that was pretty awesome....

Mad Dog also organise trips there - they are probably a bit more techy minded.

One thing - spend minimal time on Majuro - what a boring place!

I already sent Simon an email.

this trip would be technical divers only.

anybody interested in going

I am thinking Bikini with a possible add on of Chuuk [truk lagoon]

I think I could be persuaded.... Depending on your dates that is - or maybe just join in for Chuuk as I suspect you are looking at at least a 3 week trip.....

Simon is travelling at the moment - his shop pretty much got destroyed by the typhoons in July, he's currently in the UK and is a little hard to get hold of.

I am so sorry to hear that.
he had/has one of the best tech dive shops I have ever seen.

and he is one of the best guys i have met i could not have been a worse thing to happen to the most undiserving guy there is.

I will be in the UK in the spring [Scapa Flow] i will try and get a hold of him and if he is still in the area get a couple of dives in with him.

I am accualy starting to expand my horizons a little and start setting up technical diving trips for groups to some geat dive sites, of course mostly wreck oriented. and for tech divers only.

I will keep you posted on my plans

I don't think he has decided to shut up shop yet - but he is thinking about it. It will be a real shame for the region if he does shut up shop - part of the problem is not only was the shop trashed but no one was going to Guam for that kind of thing.

His web site says he will be back in November - hope so as I was planning on doing my tri mix with him.
