Thinking about a big dome for split shots with my OM-1mkII and AO housing; AOI has an 8" dome for the 8mm fisheye, and it would probably work for other lenses as well. I believe Athena used to make a 170mm dome; anyone have experience with either of these or other options?

I have the 8” dome for my AOI housing, E-M1 Mark III. I found it awkward to use. I had to rearrange the screw nuts on the tray so that it would fit. The dome was so close to the tray handles that I could not grip it properly. Plus it was very buoyant, to the point it actually started hurting my wrists to keep it down. I want to like it but I’m having a hard time.

That's what I was afraid of. I have the OMD version of the AOI dome that I got for the 12-40 and 8-25. It's such a PITA that it led me to go with a smaller dome for the 12-45. Still, I'll probably give it a shot so I have something reasonable for splits on some upcoming projects. The glass dome would be the way to go but it's awfully expensive.
