Need to pull the trigger on a quality strobe to be primarily used to mark my anchor line here in Puget Sound. Looking at the Big Blue 1300. Before I drop the $160 bucks.......are there any other better options I should be considering. Thanks

I'm using it now, I prefer it to the tektite strobes I was using before. Aluminum body, rechargeable battery. Next step up is Light Monkey or Trojan and they are almost double the cost. There's always a chance it gets left behind so I'm trying to stay away from the $300 models. Pull the trigger. @beldridg has a great video of it in action.

Light monkey makes an excellent strobe.

It's a solid light. You might find others just as good, but probably not better, so feel confident buying it.

Thanks. Here is my review of the strobe:

I definitely recommend it.

Thanks all for the recommendations and thanks beldridg for the great review and video. I'll be buying one of these today and know it'll be a lot brighter than my old cheap strobe. As for securing to the anchor or marker line I've always used a Promar Stainless Snap Clip and it seems to work fine and is easy and quick to connect and disconnect. Is there anything other or better that others are using? Thanks!
