Apparently, based on the recent big animal sightings, the news is out that Curacao is one of the best overall dive destinations in the Caribbean for 2023!

Oh... and a Bryde's whale was another surprise visitor in Curacao this past weekend that graced Ocean Encounters and their divers with a special feeding display!
According to the UN Environment Programme, "the Bryde’s whale is protected and classified in Annex II of the SPAW Protocol since 1991. They can be observed throughout the region, but it seems to be rare around the Caribbean Island arc and more frequent on the continental slopes, in waters with depths between 100 to 1000 meters."
