i popped into the pacific forums today to see we (aussie) have their own forum these days (must have been started by the kiwis as they hated being part of ours
) and i see
"Beware of the Killer Kangeroos"
i wish to dispute this.... in fact 1, its spelt KANGAROO and 2, they would be one of the safest animals we have - i think our dingos have killed more in the past 5yrs than the kangas
Nine of the world's 10 most poisonous snakes are Australian, and the world's deadliest spider, the Sydney Funnel Web, is often shaken out of shoes in suburban homes.
In the north of the country, saltwater crocodiles which can reportedly grow up to seven metres (22 feet) in length, lurk in creeks and pools and have been known to attack humans.
Northern beaches are closed for half the year because jellyfish whose stings can kill drift close to the shore, the pretty coneshell that is lethal in minutes and three of the 10 fatal shark attacks worldwide last year were in Australian waters.
so i propose a subtitle name change... any other suggestions?
