I know that there has been alot of discussion concerning the Aeris dive log program and I was wondering if anyone has seen/using a better compatable program?

It would be slick to have some more options and information such as buddy info, air start air out, consumption rates etc. I dive the Atmos 2

My buddy dives an Aladin Pro and the program he is using from this guy in Germany is fantastic. He can actually download on his serial cable to windows XP using this program. The program has all kinds of information including deco calculations, saturation info etc.

thanks

go to scubase.net. It allows you to import the info from your computer after you download it using the Aeris software. There is a free trial that lets you enter 10 dives.

Thanks, I downloaded it and will give it a go to see how it works. The program my buddy uses is Wlog in case any one is interested.

I use SCUBASE and I love it too..... I had messed up my PC and Alex in Tech Support at SCUBASE went above a beyond the call of duty, to sort out my mess.

Try it, you'll like it too.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

My aeris software that came with the atmos elite lets you input buddy information, air in/out, etc... and works with windows XP on my laptop. Maybe look at upgrading to the newest version.

I have the latest version with the patch in place, with the Atmos 2 they close the air in and out windows and they are unavailable for even manual input. The print out includes them with a N/A beside them so it makes things a bit messy with the white out. Also it has info on who your buddy was, however, there is no place to input further data for contacts if you wish.

scubase looks ok but has a bit more photo and vacation planning than I like but I'll keep looking.

If you look into the scubase, you can delete and change the system to fit your needs. I took out the reef survey stuff and changed other things around to suit my diving needs.

IMO, the ability to customize is the best part of scubase.
