I have little spots all over the lens on the housing and can't get them off. I sprayed some "all purpose" lens cleaner on a lens cloth and it did nothing.

Any ideas? I leave for Cozumel Tomorrow and really need to clean this thing.

Thanks guys!

If the spots are dried salt, I would close the housing and try putting some white vinegar on the exterior of the lens, let it sit for no more than 5 minutes and then rinse very very well. Don't put it on the interior of the housing.

You might want to check with the shops in Cozumel. Some of them have photoshops and may be able to give you some additional suggestions.

A microfiber towel or any eyeglasses cleaning cloth will work. If it is a water spot then a little water an rub will work. No pressure, just rub.

If it is a mineral or salt deposit you're gonna have to soak it. DO NOT RUB if it is a deposit.

Also, stupid question, but did you try cleaning both sides of the lens? =P
