I just bought an OMS harness with backplate and Diverite venture wing. The wing
has two holes that line up with the harness and the backplate. Although you can connect the wing directly to the harness, I connected the wing through the back of the backplate and the harness into the wing. Is this correct or should I just attach it to the harness? Thanks!

With the harness connected to the backplate, the wing goes on the outside against the tank.

Yes, but what do you connect the wing to? You can either connect it to the harness
(oms comfort harness II) which has a strap that runs down the middle of the backplate with eye holes that match up to the wing, or you can thread the assembly screw through the backplate (which have holes that match up as well) and again through the strap on the harness. It seems more sturdy running through both the harness and backplate though maybe it is too thick for the screws? Just wondering if there was a right way to do this.

I only dive doubles with a wing so it goes on the studs first, then BP and held with wingnuts. You could use bookscrews to hold the wing to the BP unless you have a STA which is what I had, then you have the studs like with the doubletank bands. STA-single tank adapter.

Does the plate have cam band slots in it? If it does then you thread the cam bands through the wing and around the tank which sandwiches the wing between the tank and plate. The whole thing is held together by compression when you snap down the cam bands.
