"BEST" U/W metal detector

I am new at U/W detecting. I was looking for the "best" value in a beginners/intermediate detector. I would like to keep within $800.

Any recommendations on models and where to buy?

For $800 forget it, spend a but more and buy the excaliber from minelab, most dealers charge around $1200, but sometimes you can get it a few hundred cheaper.
They have 2 main models 1 uses an 8inch loop the other uses a 10inch loop, they are the same except for the loop... there is also an aftermarket loop taht is about 20 inches or so
