Hi!
Im new here at the forum, and found alot of info about Socorro islands, diving and all the diveoperators. But all of you that have experience in diving around Socorro islands, what time of the year would you prefer? Thinking of going in nov-dec or feb-mar. Is there any time that you can expect more swell and rough sea?
Thanks

best time depends on what you want to see. Offhand there is no bad time to go.
early trips pros, whale sharks and warmer water 79-80.
Jan Feb pros whales but cooler water mid low 70's. Not likely you will see whale sharks.
Later in the year no experience diving there but I believe the water warms up and the whales leave.

Crossings from our experience are not that bad no matter when you go though I imagine the winter trips might be exposed to a norther now and then.
