Interested to know, what are Suunto dive computer users using to manage dive logs (assuming other than DM5)? I was using Diving Log 5 but this appears to have stopped importing my dives from DM5 now so i thought a fresh look at what people are using / what other options are about?

Subsurface. Available for windows and mac, has a mobile app for android and iphone, and is free. Will import and export and downloads from a wide variety of DCs. Great app.

DM5.......may........work. It may also give you grief. Wife is still using it but we've about bailed a half dozen times. Not stable, often has all kinds of problems, little if any support.

Subsurface has always worked when we've tried it. DM5 gives one more hassle and we're bailing.

Who ever writes Suunto software Suunto is paying them way to much for what Suunto is getting.
Seems they keep adding 'features' and have forgotten about 'function'.

I really like DiveLog (mobile) and DiveLogDT (desktop). They sync both ways and you can back up to the cloud. It works well with Suuntos and supports a lot of other manufacturers and computers so it is a bit future proof as well.

Hi, the Suunto DM format changes over time, so the importer in Diving Log has to be adjusted, too. Diving Log 5.0 is quite old now, the import should work in the current Diving Log 6.0 version just fine. Let me know if you have any issues importing your SDM file with Diving Log 6.0. You can also try to download your dive computer directly with Diving Log 5.0, if you don't want to update to 6.0.
