Central Visayas is a fantastic option. Lets say you are in Dumaguete, you can dive also Apo, Sumilon, South Cebu (Liloan area) Siquijor, Balicasag and and and...
When traveling between the Islands you don't need to fly, many ferries going late evening, that you don't even loose a day of diving.
