I just recently purchased an Aqua Lung ABS occy, but i have a few gripes with the mouthpeice. it doesnt sit comfortably and it feels weird in my mouth.

whats the best mouthpeice youve ever used?

cheers
B

For me, the best "off the shelf" mouthpiece has always been the ComfoBite.

I use a Seacure which is molded to your teeth much like a sports mouthguard. I find it pretty comfortable.

I've got the Aqualung ABS, but I don't think it has the Comfort-Bite that comes on their regular 1st stage.... But the AL Comfort-Bite is the best "off the shelf" out there that I like. Some folks like the SeaCure, but it's not off the shelf in my opinion as you have to heat and mold it for use.

I've got the SeaCure's on my larger second stages but I like the Comfobite's on my USD Micras

looks like the comfobite has it, haha

I love my SeaCures on both my main and backup reg. It takes no effort to keep the regs in my mouth, and the chances of them being knocked out of my mouth by a buddies fin is lessened. Scubapro regs, what I use, come with the crappiest mouth pieces in the world. The trick is to barely bite down on the mouthpiece when molding it.

The comfobite did not work for me. *shrug*

Very true ...but the good news is that you can boil and reshape them over and over again until you get it right.

hmm. well im using a SP S600 and the moutheice that came with that is doing fine so far, but i think i will be putting a SeaCure or Mares JAX on it sometime soon.

Im actually looking for an "off the shelf" mouthpeice that isnt moldable to go on my octopus...so far we have comfobite. any other worth mentioning?

One of the advantages of the ABS as an octo is it's ability to be used either side up. Has anybody tried the ComfoBite upside down?
