Hi Diversteve
Thank you for the info. Wondering if it is not better (not cheaper) to go through Caracao even though that means over-nighting in Caracao?

Probably not. You’ve got options to Aruba or Curacao on Avianca that route you through South America, but the flights have poor performance history. Your best bet is taking a direct to Atlanta or Miami the day prior to a Delta or American flight. Overnight in a hotel close to the airport, then grab your flight to BON the next day. Look into American flights to BON on Friday or Wednesday as these may save you $.

From Belize we have to over night both coming and going. Delta is abut US$ 2600 for two of us to Bonaire. AA is about US$ 1200 for two of us to Caracao and local flight is about US$ 400. Hotels about the same both ATL and CUR. Saves a bit and is more of an adventure?
We are going in July so fewer flight options available that time of year.
