Best diving - Beqa or Kadavu?

Looking to do a week in June at either of these islands in the south and then a week in the north (Matangi). Any suggestions on which island (Beqa or Kadavu) would have the best diving of the 2? Also, resort rec's would be appreciated also. Lalati is on the list to consider. Thanks!

Well both have great diving......I prefer the diving in Kadavu because it has a lot of variety, (sharks, mantas, wreck, and Astrolab reef). The resort I like on Kadavu is Papageno Resort. It is the nicest property on Kadavu and the best value. It has a great beach, beautiful bures, organic food, 2 really nice dive boats and my favorite divemaster in all of Fiji. Lalati on Beqa actually has slightly nicer rooms....very romantic! But Lalati is more expensive than Papageno. Both resorts are a good match with Matangi. If you do Papageno and Matangi you can get an air pass on Air Fiji for the domestic segments that will save you money.
