Best dive shop on Bonaire! VIP Diving

I contacted Bas Noij of VIP Diving on the recommendation of the owners of the apartment we rented (Blachi Koko). My soon-to-be 15 year-old-daughter and I had completed half of our open water diving course but needed a dive shop that would finish our certification. Bas answered my inquiry the same day and provided excellent customer service from the beginning. Bas and the entire staff at VIP Diving really provided excellent service and went way beyond what we could have expected or imagined. Bas provided outstanding instruction for our open water certification. We didn't know how many dives we would be making after completing our training. Based on the excellent service and knowledge of Bas, we decided to dive 4 more times with him over the next 2 days. In addition to the great dives, Bas also provided us with several excellent tours around the island (on the way to the dive sites) and gave us some nice historical insight into the island, people and culture. Fluent in multiple languages, Bas also shared a lot about his personal travels and previous dive experiences. We instantly felt both comfortable and confident with him. He was able to recommend several great restaurants on the island and even arranged a rental car for us at a discounted rate.

I totally agree with lavidaesbuena. I did some diving with Bas last year and they were the best. We did Cai, La Dania's Leap to Karpata and Candyland. We also did the UV night dive. I will be contacting Bas for more great dives when I return this winter.

Blachi Koko was very nice. Quiet, clean and peaceful. Just what we needed. We will be staying there again too.

Stayed at Blachi Koko in march of 2009. great place and owners. stayed on top floor two bedroom unit. would stay there again. close to Carib Inn and did my diving with them. Couldn't get into the Carib Inn so don't know about their accommodations but great dive operation and of course dive shop.

forgot to mention that I did dive with Bas summer of 2009. He's great as mentioned. did La Dania's Leap to Karpata and Taylor Maid. Great dives and as stated great dive master and all around person.

One of my big regrets of my trip in December was not being able to work out a dive with Bas. Really wanted to do his signature UV night dive. But the holiday and a new addition to his family kinda got in the way so... something to look forward to next time!
