Best Dive Op in Dominica - Dive Dominica or Nature Island Dive ?

I spent a week in Dominica in 2006. Highly recommend NID. They're south of town near the best dive sites. SI is done at their facility about 5 minutes from th best dive sites.
DD tends to cater to the cruise ships, so you see a lot of cattle boats and rigid schedules. When we were there some guests at FY used DD and they not happy with the herd mentality.
Arrange your diving with Karen directly at NID. NID is a laid back, family op. But their DMs are real safety conscious. FY will push you toward DD. Resist that push.

If you haven't already confirmed the accommodation then I would consider contacting Nature Island Dive.
They organised us a small self contained villa close to the shop.
If you have committed to fort young, then i would still go with NID, time travelling in a car is easier than a boat.
Check out the ex pats trivia night in town as well, some useful contacts to be made.
