I see you're from Redlands, CA. IMHO, some of the best diving in the world is right down the street in Monterey. The best marine life from both S. CA and the PNW, not to mention the most beautiful kelp beds in the world - all within an easy beach dive! Dive there and use the money you save to buy more gear.
All of them are worth the money to me!
