It's a popular choice, for sure :)

Happily there are about a million "best dives" in Australia - scattered all over the nation and offering everything from wrecks to sea dragons to great white sharks and everything in between!

Hi there,

My best dive in Australia was definitely the Yongala wreck.
Does anyone chare this idea?

Have not done the Yongala yet but yes it is from all accounts a great dive ... Fishrock Cave is a pretty good dive also.

mine was off Forster/Tuncurry(well you hop on a boat and head south) to a spot called Big Seal ROCK, and a MASSIVE colony of grey nurse sharks, they are pretty big and toothy. One swam head-on at me and almost grazed my tank as i ducked my head. What a buzz. DO IT! :D

I agree that Seal Rocks is a must do! :D I did it back at the end of March. There were too many grey nurse sharks to count! We were laying on the bottom watching them and one swam right over me -- the other divers were more amused by that as I only realized when it swam in front of me.

Take gloves though!!
