Why bother?

For shore diving, all I have to do is toss a float flag in the water somewhere.

After that I can do anything I want to.

If you want to dive with a buddy out there, make some new friends.
….great idea, MidOhio…. Seems as if some divers don’t take that ‘Life Support Equipment’ designation given to their SCUBA gear seriously or take ‘chances’ with spearfishing gear ( one of my biggest eye-openers on a charter trip, long ago ). Maybe treat your prospective dive partner like an interviewee for a job. Also check them out before getting in to the water when you are all geared up…like, …do they seem confused…. ….just saying. Yes I have dived solo but not w/o a plan or a possible ‘work’ dive. Competent ‘surface support’ may help but I don’t really advise this practice.
