Not sure why they opted for the clip, I've had 2 break already.

It's certainly a good quality tray and the lights are plenty powerful. You can assemble one yourself for nearly 1/3th of that cost (with slightly less powerful lights) just by ordering a few parts. If you're not in a rush and want to save some $400ish, here are some parts:

Grips/Handle (they are short but OK once you add the flex arms)
Flex Arms + Light Holder (will fit the lights suggested below)
Tray
Archon d11v 860 lumens wide lights.


You will need the GoPro tripod adapter (around $3 on ebay) and an extra 1/4" stainless steel screw to attach the camera to the tray.
 
The color temperature is 6500 k. That is very white lights. But powerful yes , bit expensive.

How big of an issue is the color (6500k)?
