Can anyone give me information on which of the 2 condos complexs might be better?

Belair or Belmar ???

I believe them to be practically the same with Belair being down the street from the Belmar....

Any advantages or disadvantages of either of them ?

Looking for advice on which one to choose......

BelMar has the other Buddy Dive on-site. They also have a pool. BelAir has a big sundeck instead.

From BelAir you'll likely be going to Buddy for tanks/fills since they're the closest - others being Wannadive at Windsock Beach or Dive Friends at Port Bonaire. Advantage to renting from Buddy is that they'll give you a paper to put on your dash so you can use the Buddy Dive Drive-Thru when diving north. Dive Friends has more locations though.

We stayed at Belmar. Funny thing was one afternoon my buddy was burning up his air in the shallows and I watched him pop-up, see BelAir and he got almost all the way onto their dock before he realized he'd drifted down there...from the water both buildings look very similar. Considering the identical floor plans, my guess is someone built both around the same time - just added the 3BR penthouse suites at BelMar. At both complexes the livingroom/kitchen areas have the view, the bedroom(s) are in the back.

We had one of the ground floor (2br) units, it was 25' to the pool from our patio - 25' down a few steps to the dive dock. Buddy stages tanks there next to the rinse tank. 2nd floor units at both properties have stairs to the back so you have to walk to either end of the building to access the ocean side. Conveniently the Buddy dive shop is on the south end along the way. If you have an upstairs unit, so is your dive locker. The downstairs units have individual locking closets outside near the door.

fwiw, there's no food in that area except the small restaurant at Hotel Roomer. Anything else is a drive to either the Plaza or town. (5mins.)

We stayed at the Belmar a few years back and loved it! Going back in a couple weeks - its super easy and quiet, the decks are massive and you can use the buddy dive drive through tank fills when up north. Nice pool, nice shop, good people, its all good.
