Just wanted to leave a trip report for my girlfriend and I's recent trip to ambergris caye, Belize. First of all we stayed at Belizean Shores thats 3.5 miles North of San Pedro. Its not bad a 7 min. water ferry ride to town. I had heard many great things about Ambergris Divers. I called them when I got down there and they made me aware of there $99 4 tank dive deal for the low season. They told me they would pick me up at my resort for free and could just pay at the dive shop. I picked if I wanted to go at either 9 am or 2 pm, I was picked up on time every trip 30 min. before my desired time.

First day: We decided to do the Hol Chan Marine Sanctuary and Shark Ray Alley. For me and my girlfriend it was 133.50 including a rental reg. and rental b.c. There was a max. 30ft dive at the sanctuary. Viz. was ok about 50 ft., with a little bit of current. Water was green all kinds of life on the reefs kinda touristy though, but I would def. recomend it though for the nurse sharks. After that we did a snorkel trip on what is called SHARK RAY ALLEY. Not a ton of sharks maybe 3 or 4, but def. stingray citys lil sister lots and lots of rays. Def. worth it to go out and do it.

Second day: Our first dive took us to the tacklebox canyons. Awsome swim throughs max depth of 89 ft. great viz. 75-100 ft. lots and lots of reef life. Second site Esmarada as soon as we get there dolphins all over the place, turtles, monster groupers and at least 20 nurse sharks. We decend down to 80 ft. thats max depth awsome canyons and reef life, but couldnt get enough of the sharks they were all over. They were great even got to hold one and get my pciture taken with my own camera by the DM. Monster moray eel and big turtles there as well the most active reef I have ever seen.

Third Day: One dive day Cypress Canyons 92 max depth. As with all these sites you dont have to do Max depth. These were stunning swim throughs with great viz and all the same marine and reef life. Viz at about 75- 100 ft.

All in all I would recomend Ambergris Divers to anyone those guys are cool as can be. They really care about doing good work and you can pick your spots depending on how many people are on the boat. Max. 8 divers on the boat though so yes yes no cattle boats. If anyone has any questions or concerns give me a shout and I will get back with you thanks all.
