BCD stitch repair

Hello,

The stitches that hold the plastic backplate to the vest are breaking
on my Seaquest Balance BCD.
Do you know if it is repairable and what kind of thread andd tool I need to fix it?
The BCD is from 2002 .

I would check with your LDS or the manufacturer to see if it's covered under warranty. If not, a strong (of course) polyester thread should work. You might try a luggage repair shop if you want to have it done "professionally."
