I just got a new BCD and was wondering what the best storage long term is.

I normally store my gear in two containers, one for my BC and another container for other gear. Their remainder stocked in the garage ready to go. Though if I am not diving for some time (more than a couple of weeks) what is the best method for storing your BC... does it need to be hung up or is stored in its own box an acceptable method of storing?

Cheers.

Fill with small amount of dry air first eg. using hair drier at low heat.

Rinse with fresh water and dry, then hand in a climate controlled environment with a puff of air or two in the bladder.

Understand that we are a dive shop and we do dive 7 days a week but here is a quick video on how we store our gear. Hopefully this will help you.
