I have a UK purchased Equator BCD which is about 3 years old. Just recently I noticed that air is leaking out of the corrugated hose swivel join (connecting the hose to the BCD itself), it is significant enough to deflate the BCD in a couple of minutes and screw up my buoyancy!.

Thinking that this was an unrepairable issue, I purchased a new hose and connector and the issue remains - which leads me to think that either the problem has been replicated in a new item (unlikely) or there is an issue with the connection point of the hose to the BCD.

Can anyone here please provide any insights to the cause of the leak - at the moment the jacket is unusable.

Thanks

Martin

Make sure the large rubber flat washer is seated securely before screwing the corrugated hose on. It it still leaks remove the hose and manually blow up the BC as much as possible and then quickly block the opening. Dip the covered hole in soapy water to see if there is a leak in the bladder.
