My wife has an Oceanic Isla bc and the hose has a hole in it and is causing air to leak. Is there any place to pick up a new one and just slap the zip ties on it and call it good? It is a 14" hose.
Also, when these are attached, is there any sealant that is used to seal the hose to the mouthpiece and the bc?

Thanks for any advice and help offered, I can use all I can get.

OMS BC Accessories & Repair http://www.OMSdive.com

I would call OMS and see if they can sell you the hose directly. Typically I just use a ziptie to connect the hose and mouthpiece to the BC. This is an item that needs replacement from time to time, so I wouldn't want to glue it on.

Scubatoys should be able to take care of you. I use 2 zip ties with at least a 90 dergee offset on the connections and have never had any need for additional sealer.

The hose is easily available. Are you ok with changing it out and reconnecting the pull dump mechanism? If not take it where you bought it. How old is the bc and how many dives? Oceanic is real good about fixing stuff like this under warranty even if the bc may technically be out of warranty. Go to the oceanic forum and shoot a PM to Doug Krause. He's a good guy. Is there a dealer near you? If so let Doug know the name and location. Bet it gets taken care of PDQ.

Thanks for all your help, You guys are pushing me in the right direction and giving me the tips I need to get it done. You guys are all awesome for helping out a scuba noob

I ordered a new hose for my Oceanic BC about a year ago. Any LDS that sells Oceanic gear should have no problem getting it. If you have any problems call Oceanic they have alway been very helpful when I have talked to them.
